In God We Trust Founded on Faith

"I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice [Matthew 10] is it probable that an empire can rise with out his aid? We have been assured, sir, in the Sacred Writings, that "except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it." I firmly believe this... I therefore beg leave to move that hence forth prayers imploring the assistance of heaven, and its blessing on our deliberations, be held in this assembly every morning."
- Benjamin Franklin (during the drafting of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. Spoken at a time of great stress and uncertainty for the convention. Prayer before the start of government business is a tradition the House and Senate still embrace today.)

Our Mission

Bring people to Jesus ~ To membership in his family ~ Develop them to Christ like maturity ~ Equip them for Ministry in the Church and in the World ~ In order to Magnify God's Name

Who We Are
  • We are a group of disciples striving to restore first century Christianity today.
  • We are not a part of any denomination, but we try to live and worship like the early Christians, and so restore Christianity in its original purity and simplicity.
  • The Bible serves as our only standard of religious authority, and so stands at the center of our teaching and preaching.

The holiday season is once again behind us. This is typically the time of year when we think about the hungry in our community and our local food banks get needed attention. The problem is that the need to feed the hungry is all year, not just during the holidays. Make the commitment to support our local food banks  throughout the year!
